A magpie couple started building a nest at the foot of Mt. Bukhan near my house. After the first sighting in February 2021, I watched them several times a day for four months until May when two baby magpies left the nest. The joys and sorrows of the magpie couple became my own joys and sorrows. Everything has a reason for existence, and seeing the austerity of nature fulfilling its responsibilities, we painfully reminisced about how we raised our two sons.
