Filmmakers Gather Together to Discuss Eras and Generations
SISFF: A Festival for All Generations and Nations
In 1730, a banquet was held for twenty-one elderly members of the court in Seoul. Everyone else at this banquet appears to be having a great time. This is a scene from Iwongirohoegyecheop, a painting produced during the Joseon Dynasty. From older people to young children, people of all generations in this painting happily enjoy their time together, which reflects Oglowdalm’s vision of the SISFF. Just as the festival unfolds and continues stories of different eras across generations, we hope to explore the theme of ‘coexistence of past and present’ through the Joseon painting, which is over 300 years old.
