The SISFF Short Film Competition presents a diverse selection of stories from
filmmakers around the world, each exploring themes of aging and life from
unique perspectives. With fresh perspectives from young filmmakers and deep in
sight from older directors, these films explore aging not as a period of decline, but
as a time rich with emotion, experience, and intergenerational connection. Some works rekindle fading memories, while others explore the self through family relationships highlighting a broadened and thoughtful approach to the subject. It is time to discover 27 Korean short films and 20 international short films, each se-lected through a highly competitive preliminary review.
