Pushed out of the workplace simply because of age, many fathers find themselves with nowhere to go. Though still part of the family, they often feel like strangers in their own homes. Drifting like fallen leaves, they wander towards places like Tapgol Park. They shed tears over the thought of their children eating poorly at school, but how often have their daughters made sure their fathers’ meals are cared for? Do we realize why they go to the park? It’s because they want to talk, and to be heard.
Worried that her dad might get lonely, a daughter brings home a dog named Meong-soon. But on her first night, Meong-soon has a little accident on the bedding and is promptly relegated to the yard. Unhappy with her short leash, she seems to go on a hunger strike until one day, she suddenly disappears.
