까꼬막 굽이굽이 돌아 걷는 길, 부산 동구 이바구길 초량초등학교 앞에는 20년이 넘는 세월 동안 늘 한결같이 같은 자리를 지키는 ‘우리 문방구’가 있다. 5평 남짓 좁은 문방구이지만 아이들에게는 궂은 날씨를 피해 놀 수 있는 장소, 맞벌이 부부에게는 마음 편히 아이를 맡기고 일터로 나갈 수 있는 장소, 동네 할머니들에게는 마음 터놓고 넋두리하는 장소, 새벽 출근하는 일꾼들에게는 목을 축이고 나설 수 있는 장소이다. 오늘도 할머니는 반찬값을 벌어야 한다는 핑계로 문방구를 활짝 열고 이웃을 맞이한다.
<Synopsis>
“I’m going to keep going for as long as I can.” Up the winding roads of Ibagu-gil, Busan, there is a store called Woori Stationery. It’s been standing in front of Choryang Elementary School for over 20 years. The tiny store is where children take shelter and play in bad weather, where working parents can leave their child, where older ladies in the neighborhood gather together for a chit-chat, and where early risers get a drink or two before going to work. As always, the elderly owner keep the store doors wide open on the pretext that she needs to earn some extra income, and welcomes her neighbors.
